They invest in relationships first, technology second. They understand that the most sophisticated AI in the world can't compensate for poor communication, unclear expectations, or broken trust.
Here's what gives me hope: the future of AI in leadership isn't about choosing between humans and machines. It's about designing better ways for them to work together.

Technology provides valuable insights, enabling leaders to have more effective conversations. Automation takes care of the predictable, freeing people to devote more energy to the unpredictable.

The leaders who get this right won't be the ones with the most advanced AI. They'll be the ones who've figured out how to use AI to create more space for the things that make us most human: creativity, connection, growth, and the deep satisfaction that comes from meaningful work.
That's the real opportunity before us. Not just to become more efficient, but to become more human. Not just to adapt to change, but to use change as a catalyst for building the kinds of organizations where people want to show up.
The question isn't whether AI will transform leadership; it's whether it will transform leadership. It already is. The question is what kind of transformation we will choose to create.
